साम्राज्य (जीवशास्त्र)
साम्राज्य ही जीवशास्त्रीयवर्ग मांडणीतील (Taxonomy) सर्व सजीवांसाठी वापरली जाणारी सर्वोच्च श्रेणी आहे. प्रत्येक ’साम्राज्य’ हे पुढे 'phyla'[मराठी शब्द सुचवा] मध्ये विभागले गेले आहे.
जीवशास्त्रीयवर्गमांडणी (किंवा-वर्गमांडणी)त पुढे ५ साम्राज्ये आहेत. प्रत्येक सजीव हा या पाच पैकी एका साम्राज्यात येतो. ते असे :
- Monera -सर्वात सामान्य सजीव
- Protista - eukaryotes with only one cell.(एकपेशीय,पेशीपटल असणारे)
- Fungi - mushrooms, mold and other fungi.-कवक, बुरशीवर्गीय
- Plantae - सर्व झाडे, जसे की झुडुपे आणि वृक्ष. वनस्पती
- Animalia - all animals, including people. प्राणी
